Nemo Beach Scuba Diving, Havelock Island

Most people who dive with us for the first time do it here. Nemo beach scuba diving suits beginners because of where the reef sits. Nemo Reef is directly off Nemo Beach, which is Beach No. 2 at Govind Nagar, so you walk in from the sand instead of riding a boat out to sea. There is almost no current and the shallow section is one to three metres, which means you can stand up in it. If you cannot swim, that is not a problem here. Your instructor stays next to you for the whole dive. It is a shallow site, but there is more down there than people expect. Two fringing reefs with a sand patch between them, thick anemone beds full of clownfish, and an old Mahindra Jeep sitting on the bottom at 6 to 8 metres that the fish have long since taken over.
